Bushcraft is about surviving and thriving in the natural environment, and for many it’s about getting out, enjoying nature, learning to become at ease with the natural world. Some find that learning traditional techniques and skills to live within the natural-world gives them a sense of self-achievement and self-reliance.
These skills are plentiful and can include; fire craft, tracking, hunting, shelter building, the use of tools such as knives and axes, hand-carving wood, container construction from natural materials, rope and twine-making, and many others.
Learn about our ancestors and how they used to live and how some people still live their lives like this in today’s world.
Depending on what you would like to gain from this activity it can be suitable for all ages from children to adults there is something for everyone to learn. You can learn some thing as easy as how to make hand tools or build your own canoe to paddle on water, understand and learn about winter survival.
