Kilimanjaro Tanzania

Kilimanjaro (‘Kili’) Mountain is one of earths largest volcanoes to erupt and is currently the worlds highest free-standing mountain in the world reaching up to 5895m above sea level just 330 km south of the earths equator

Kilimanjaro offers a non-technical climb or trek and is perfectly achievable for most reasonably fit people. There is a selection of climbs to be done up Kilimanjaro but to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro should take no longer than 1 week so you would be able to combine the trek with a safari to help get the most out of Africa.

The easiest and most popular route is the Marangu Route, the path is uncomplicated and most suited for everyone.

Machame Route: Passes through many of Kilimanjaro’s many ranges of landscape and undergrowth, it is a slower climb than the Marangu route and due to this is much quieter with two options of routes on the higher sections to reach the summit Western Breach (short and very steep) or by the Barafu section of the Mweka Route (longer but less demanding).

Many other routes are available and will involve a mix of huts & Camping
